Sorry, shamless plug for Second Cup's Tuesday $2 Vanilla Bean Lattes...mmm so good. Well, it's exam time... meaning my coffee input has reached biohazard levels... heheh.

Sunday, went to Kanata Wesleyan Church in the morning for their morning contemporary service... was quite good. Speaker spoke about why churches aspire to be as big as possible...making as big a noise as possible to be heard around the world. God doesn't ask us to stand still and be satisfied, he wants us to dream big because he dreamed big when he created us... He commands us to go and grow and spread the good news across the land... It makes me respect and appreciate mega-churches like Hillsong Australia and organizations like 7:22 even more. Wonder if EACO will ever grow to be a big church?...hrm... Anyways, went there 'cause EACO is currently going through a 3-Sunday stretch of combined services... eek...whose idea was that?? :P

Oddly enough, I get the most inspiration to write music during exam time... and like one of my friends said, it's probably just the need to procrastinate. But meh, got several ideas for worship songs and cont. christian songs that I'd like to explore... but I'm buttoning down and getting these midterms out of the way first... :P

Looking forward to a fun weekend of parties and recording... hope it'll be a good wind-down after all the exam stress. woohoo!

Song hits #35

Hey all,
Just wanted to thank you all for checking out the music site and listening! The song "I Will Sing to You" hit #35 on the Contemporary Christian Sub-Chart yesterday on SoundClick and the page has already produced 233 hits in a couple of days. ...kinda cool and kinda scary at the same time... Anyways, I know most of those hits and listens were from you guys, my friends, so thanks so much for the support and hopefully I'll churn out more stuff (and hopefully better stuff) in the future. God bless!

Hrm... interesting weekend. Parents leave town for TO and Sam comes back from TO... can't be a good combination. Heheh. Was planning to get some work done this weekend... didn't really accomplish that for obvious reasons... but it was all good...'sides, I got Monday to work *cross fingers*.

After worship team practise on Saturday morning, Sam dropped by the church to jam. Man, I miss jamming just for the sake of jamming... so fun... heheh... Afterwards, we headed to Salem Storehouse to pick up some CDs. Sooooo much good new music, from the new Chris Tomlin CD, to David Crowder, to Tim Hughes, to Jeremy Camp's worship project. Gonna be on christian music overload here.... heheh... but nah, makes for enjoyable car rides... especially in da Civic. ;) Tried to get some work done before dinnertime... got a little done. High-tailed it outta there by around 8 to join the bunch (Sam, Candace, and Andrew) for wing nite at Summerhays. K, let it be known that wings (especially 20 wings) are delicious when you eat them.... but make you feel nasty late at night. Heheh... but oh so delicious... heheh. After wings, we headed back to my empty house to jam a bit more and talk. Kat and her bf joined us but unfortunately, Karen couldn't make it. Nice to see Kat once again, as always...ah, old friends... *sigh*

Sunday morning, led worship... a fun set, in my opinion, with Arthur on electric, but the congregation wasn't really into it, as usual... Had a worship committee meeting over lunch (vietnamese in bells corners) and then back to the church to... you guessed it... jam once again with Sam and a few others, including Karen, Jean, Candace, Jerry, and Kevin. Afterwards, had coffee with Karen and Jean (with Andrew joining) before heading home to wait for my parentals to come home. While others have turkey, we have chinese food at Rideau Restaurent. Heheh. Good food, but I wouldn't mind a little turkey once in a while. mmmm.

Monday, basically did work and studying all day... which included a trek to Zavida's. Oh and last night (late last night) I had the sudden urge to do a little songwriting... and the result: my first attempt at worship music, which I raw recorded this morning. Gonna try to send it to some friends for some feedback on whether I should work on it some more... Would love to get back into songwriting and maybe churn out a new CD... my first one is sounding worse and worse the more I listen to it... haha. Just need to find the time...and the inspiration... but yeah, this would be the first song I've recorded in a while. Meh, I enjoy songwriting and recording... and I think my vocals have gotten a little better since my last attempt, so it's all good.

Study study study... midterms coming up in exactly one week... gotta get on top of it. Couple of case studies due next week as well... it's gonna be a busy weekend...
