Eventful weekend... spending most of it out and about.

Saturday, I witnessed Pastor Shawn and Katrina's wedding. Though I don't know them all that well, they just radiated a certain something that told me they were so meant for each other. Good pairing, God! Heheh. Their mannerisms, their little quirks while standing on the stage, their looks to each other... twas all so cute and you can tell that they connect on different level. So big congrats to the two of 'em and I wish them best of luck in their married life. Hope they have an awesome honeymoon and I look forward to working with both of them at EACO. Weddings always make me contemplate on my own situation, in my early 20's, having been single for quite a while without a potential bride in sight... but I've definitely learned to not worry about it and allow God to take control over my life and spend my time aspiring to become a Christ-like child of God.

Ah yes, which brings me to the topic of surrender that we touched upon this weekend as part of the 40-day campaign at church, discussing how to become more Christ-like. Although that part of my life, I've surrendered, there are still so many things in my life (especially bad habits) that I haven't surrendered completely to God. I hope to keep working at it, checking my list off as I go, until I am completely devoted to Him and in His hands. I am currently so far from where I wanna be in that area...

The Zoo Crew saw Karen the night before she left for Saskatchewan for French courses. Sad to see her gone for a month but I'm really glad for her to be able to get out of the city and out of her house to experience something new and exciting. Hope she has a blast and I pray that she'll return safely.

The 40-day small group on Sunday was fun as always with some beef tacos for lunch. We had more of our members back again, which is always good. After small group, I stopped by Rita's house, where she was having a dinner gathering of sorts. Heheh, seems like everyone is watching The Last Samurai nowadays... which is a great movie but I've encountered it way too much over the last few days. I stayed for a bit 'cause I'd promised I'd show up, but left shortly afterwards since I was kinda sick of the movie and didn't know too many people there (didn't really felt like I belong, heheh).

Pondering dinner, I rang up Kevin and Jerry and met up with 'em for dinner. We decided to go to Local Heroes and had a yummy dinner of chicken wings and ribs. Local Heroes has this platter of 2 pounds of wings and 2 pounds of ribs (4 pounds of food!) that we shared along with potato skins. I can NOT imagine anyone eating that platter by themself...crazy amount of food... Local Heroes also has some beachball nets and sand set up outside the restaurent that I hope to visit sometime during the summer, perhaps with the Zoo Crew.

Still unemployed.... [sigh]... I can see why places don't wanna hire students for only 3-4 months... but still, I want a job! I was hoping for a sales job (preferably in portable electronics or something similar), but they usually require sales experience. Question, where do people get this initial sales experience that places are looking for?! Sent out several resumes, planning to send out more... itching for a call-back or e-mail. Blah... least I have school to keep me busy.
