A nice weekend away from schoolwork for the most part... after midterms are done, took a quick breather before diving into the deep again. Heheh.
Friday, studying for a midterm on the previous day, didn't have time to work on my ADM2372 assignment... which I was furiously trying to get done all day. Of course, it just haaaad to be a 2-part assignment that was freakin' long.... bah well. Worked on it all afternoon but was still unfinished... but I needed to head to H20 fellowship to plan Saturday's Iron Chef event... so I headed down to give my two cents worth and a few recipes but had to work on the assignment the whole time, unfortunately. :P ... two things though: a) luckily, I finished it just in the nick of time right before its midnight due date and b) I was able to take out some pho with beef in hot&sour soup from Mei Xim... sooooooo good (and exclusive to that restaurent). :)
Saturday, it is Iron Chef day! Woohoo! Raided the kitchen in the morning, lunch with parentals and then grocery shopping in the afternoon, and then headed to CCCO for prep. Our fellowship was up against 4 other fellowships from CCCO and our job was to create a meal that serves 10 but is displayed for 4 judges (so we needed 4 nicely presented plates). And all this within 2 hours... all from scratch. The challenge was on! .....and boy did our fellowship pull through. I was so proud of every single person there... everyone worked hard, made a huge effort, and everyone really worked together as a team to accomplish our goal. And the proof? H20 = 2005 CCCO Iron Chef Champions, baby! Woohoo! Heheh. The event was loads of fun, if a little stressful (darn power, eh Andrew?). Plating in the last 15 minutes was insane... but I think the end product was awesome. :)

Sunday, did work in the morning and then headed to Serena's to go over some quick changes to the worship set before heading over to Celebration Church for setup and run-through. Being a baptism service, we were able to have our service in the main sanctuary of the old downtown church instead of the basement... and oh, the acoustics were soooo nice. Appropriately, the set was going to be piano-led with me on keys but we also added Jenna on synth/keys to give it some atmosphere and backbone and I think it was a good touch. Our worship set was real nice... and the congregation was into it... especially the second last song, Hillsong's Hallelujah. It's one of those songs with a sweeping melody that just seemed right at home in an old sanctuary setting with good worshippers... just gorgeous. Despite some mishaps throughout (ie. starting the set at half-time, me messing up a few times on piano, and my guitar pick breaking at the beginning of the last song), it was still a wonderful time of worship, praise God. :)
