On Friday, I quietly turned 22... no hoopla or anything. Yes, me getting older... but I still don't feel like a full-fledged adult... even though I try to act like one. I find that as the years go by, I don't feel the need to celebrate birthdays as much anymore... Heheh, just another year to add to the total.

On the weekend, went up to Shannon's cottage with the Zoo Crew for our annual outing. Good food (mmm... chipotle pesto pasta w/ garlic shrimp...mmm), good drinks (I've discovered rum & coke, thanks Lauren!), good company (Karen's back!), and we were very fortunate to be blessed with good weather (...but the water was freeeeezing!). Unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy all this vacation had to offer since I had a couple of reports due the upcoming week to finish... but it was still relaxing and a nice getaway from the city life... definitely enjoyable.

Now back to the usual school fare and my final presentation and report to prep. This will be a busy week... I get the opportunity to meet with Canadian worship leader Steve Bell tomorrow morning...definitely looking forward to that (thanks Lyle!). On Friday, I'll be joining a worship team from my local church to do an outdoor praise event for the kids' Vacation Bible School. Should be fun, especially since I get to join the band in doing interesting songs of different styles that I've never done before ("Jeremiah was a bullfrog!!" DA DA DAAA!!). Hope the kids will enjoy it.
