An event-filled weekend... to celebrate the end of mid-terms... well, for the moment anyways.

Saturday, had breakfast with my mom in the morning at Rockin' Johnny's... pretty good, and plenty of food for a good price. Afternoon, went to the church to do some recording with my worship team and Frank and Steph. Frank was nice enough to bring his recording equipment to the church. We got a few songs down, but had to spend lotsa time setting up. Hopefully they sounded decent... still got lotsa mixing to do. Afterwards, went to do a little grocery shopping with Steph before heading to Cal's for a house-warming party. Heheh, apparently, we both like Shepherd's Pie... "should we bring this Shepherd's Pie to Cal's... but it only serves 2... perfect!" haha. Cal's place is looking really nice now that he's finished his living/dining room with the hard wood floors, couches, and tables. Helped him make the chicken, which apparently turned out pretty good. Experimented with the use of beer in the chicken, and it was actually a success! Lotsa food... and got to see old childhood friend Alethea again. Got a little audio mixing done with Frank and helped Cal clean up before heading home to get some reading done.

Sunday, yet another combined service.... gaahh... but this one wasn't as bad since our short-term missions team spoke about their experiences overseas. After lunch, headed over to Cedarview Alliance Church with my family for Song's baptism. Yay! After that, hosted a baptism party for Song at my place. Took us like over half-an-hour to decide on a movie to rent...(we're such indecisive people...heheh) Some wanted a scary movie, others wanted a comedy... no new releases really popped out at us... ended up picking The Butterfly Effect, which we didn't even get to watch. Anyways, a bunch came over to talk a bit and eat dinner. Discovered that Carol is a really good guitarist! ...she's been holding out on us, that fiend! :P Muchos amount of dessert after dinner as well... like 4 kinds plus ice cream! hummana hummana... Oh, and discovered there weren't too many trick-or-treaters out... a shame, but it was cold and wet so... After cleaning up a bit and seeing the last guests leave, was tempted to watch a scary movie (heheh... freaking myself with The Ring again? nah)... but was too tired so I went to bed.

Ok, break's over. Back to work! ... reports due, group presentations soon, readings to catch up on... fun fun fun... and the start of the NBA season doesn't help matters any. :P
